PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which enables improvement of high frequency characteristics and achieves low costs.SOLUTION: An optical module 20 includes: a semiconductor laser 4; and a housing 13 including a stem 1 electrically grounded and housing the semiconductor laser 4. Lead terminals 2A, 2B penetrate through the stem 1 and have protruding parts 2b protruding from the stem 1 to the outer side of the housing 13. The optical module 20 includes a radio wave absorber 9 which absorbs electromagnetic fields generated by the protruding parts 2b of the lead terminals 2A, 2B. |
