PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine presence of abnormality in a detection switch used for detecting a differential lock state in a differential device.SOLUTION: An electrical control unit (ECU) executes control processing including: a step (S106) for determining that a detection switch is in turn-on failure if a rotation speed difference &Dgr;N between a wheel-inside-turn and a wheel-outside-turn of a vehicle is smaller than zero or if an absolute value of a temporal differential of the rotation speed difference &Dgr;N is smaller than a threshold A (Yes for S104), in a case where a vehicle is in a turn-travel (Yes for S100), with the detection switch turned on (Yes for S102); and a step (S110) for determining that the detection switch is in turn-on failure if the rotation speed difference &Dgr;N between a wheel-inside-turn and a wheel-outside-turn of a vehicle is larger than zero, with the absolute value of the temporal differential of the rotation speed difference &Dgr;N larger than the threshold A (Yes for S108) in a case where the detection switch is turned off (No for S102). |
