PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for enhancing the performance of auto-leveling control for a vehicle lamp.SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle lamp according to an embodiment of the invention comprises: a receiving part 102 that receives an output value of an inclination sensor able to derive a total angle including a road angle and a vehicle position angle; and a control part 104 that adjusts the optical axis angle of the vehicle lamp. The control part 104 uses a change in the total angle during the stop of the vehicle as a change in vehicle position angle and, if the amount of change is not higher than a threshold value, it outputs an adjustment signal for the optical axis angle. Additionally, the control part 104 uses a change in the total angle during the traveling of the vehicle as a change in road angle, and avoids outputting an adjustment signal or outputs a maintaining signal. Additionally, on the basis of an output value of the inclination sensor obtained during the traveling of the vehicle, the control part estimates the angle of the vehicle position, and corrects the optical axis angle. If an amount of change in total angle during the stop of the vehicle exceeds a threshold value, the control part adjusts the optical axis angle to a temporary angle or maintains the optical axis angle. The control part adjusts the optical axis angle on the basis of the vehicle position angle obtained by estimation performed thereafter. |
