PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure type rice cooker capable of enlarging an opening area of a steam discharge hole while suppressing increase in size of the rice cooker, and capable of more accurately adjusting the pressure in a pot to a threshold value higher than atmospheric pressure.SOLUTION: A pressure type rice cooker includes: a pot heating device for heating a pot; a lid body capable of opening/closing an upper part opening part of the pot; a pressure suppression valve provided so as to be able to open/close a small diameter steam discharge hole provided at the lid body, and for suppressing the pressure in the pot increasing up to equal to or greater than a threshold level higher than atmospheric pressure; a pressure reduction valve provided so as to be able to open/close a large diameter steam discharge hole provided at the lid body and for causing bumping in the pot; a pressure reduction valve movement mechanism for moving the pressure reduction valve between a closed position and an open position; and a rice cooking control part for performing a rice cooking step by controlling the pot heating device and the pressure reduction valve movement mechanism. In a boiling maintaining step, after the pressure in the pot becomes equal to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the rice cooking control part controls the pressure reduction valve movement mechanism at least once, and allows the pressure reduction valve to move from the closed position to the open position. |
