PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution for electrolytic capacitors, which still has a good life property even after an elapse of a long time; an electrolytic capacitor arranged by use of such an electrolytic solution; and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An electrolytic solution for electrolytic capacitors comprises a compound capable of producing a phosphate ion and a chelating agent having a predetermined structure, which are added to a solvent including water. The chelating agent includes a compound expressed by the general formula (1) and having 16-41 carbon atoms in total and/or a compound expressed by the general formula (2) and having 15-21 carbon atoms in total. An electrolytic capacitor comprises: the electrolytic solution for electrolytic capacitors; and a capacitor element arranged by winding or laminating a positive electrode foil with an oxide film provided on its surface, a negative electrode foil and a separator, provided that the electrolytic solution is impregnated into the capacitor element. |
