PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink which can record an image having high optical density and excellent marker resistance, suppresses the elution of silicon from a constituent member of a recording head and has excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: There is provided an ink used for an inkjet recording method using a recording head in which a member in contact with an ink is composed of silicon. The ink comprises a pigment, an urethane resin and a silicone resin. The pigment is a self-dispersible pigment in which a phosphonic acid group is bonded directly or through another atomic group to the particle surface, the urethane resin has a unit derived from a polyether polyol and an acid value of 40 mgKOH/g or more and 140 mgKOH/g or less and the silicone resin has at least a unit having a siloxane structure and a unit having an acidic group and an acid value of 80 mgKOH/g or more and 150 mgKOH/g or less.
