PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric scavenging type greening apparatus which does not require a fan for ventilation and the initial cost or the running cost of which can be reduced as a result.SOLUTION: The atmospheric scavenging type greening apparatus comprises: a plant growth substrate layer 2 with breathability on which plants 19 are planted; and an air feeding mechanism 3 which sends air a into the plant growth substrate layer 2. The air feeding mechanism 3 has a contractible air chamber 5 which contracts by pressing force given by a human or an object and restores, and a ventilation path 6 which communicates with the inside of the contractible air chamber 5, a plant non growth surface 2b or the inside of the plant growth substrate layer 2, and makes air a that goes in and out the contractible air chamber 5 by contraction and restoration of the contractible air chamber 5 pass through the plant growth substrate layer 2. The contractible air chamber 5 is constituted of a chair having a top surface of a ceiling board part as a seat, for example.
