PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydroxy methyl furfural that can easily produce hydroxy methyl furfural and/or glucose without the saccharification process.SOLUTION: The method for producing hydroxy methyl furfural and/or glucose is characterized in comprising a disintegration step S2 for applying high frequency vibration to hydrocarbon-based solid material A placed in a liquid to disintegrate at least a portion of the hydrocarbon-based solid material A, and a filtration step S3 for cooling and filtering the liquid. |
