PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardware configuration mechanism for preventing an attempt to illegally alter a low end model in order to put a high end function in an enable state.SOLUTION: A hardware configuration device 100 is configured as a part of a hardware system, and the hardware system includes at least one function. The hardware configuration device includes: an interface part 120; a determination part 130; and an output generation part 140. The determination part is configured to, for each function of the hardware system, generate current setting corresponding to the function on the basis of default setting corresponding to the function and the function setting of a plurality of safety configuration entries (SCE) corresponding to the function. The interface part is connected to a determination part and a storage device 110 for storing the SCE, and configured to provide the SCE to the determination part. The output generation part is connected to the determination part, and configured to, for each function of the hardware system, output a configuration signal for putting the function in an enable state or a disable state in accordance with the current setting corresponding to the function. |
