PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a branch guide accurately rest while excitation current supplied to a motor for branch guide in the stationary state is reduced, and reduce electric power consumption.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance apparatus includes: a conveyance rotor conveying a sheet; a conveyance motor which rotates the conveyance rotor; a branch guide which switches a conveyance route of the sheet; a branch motor which rotates the branch guide; and a processing part which controls rotation and stop of the conveyance motor and the branch motor, and the size of excitation current supplied to the branch motor. While rotation of the conveyance motor is started, when the branch guide is held in a stationary state, the processing part supplies excitation current having a first current value to the branch motor in a first time zone including rotation start of the conveyance motor to an acceleration period of rotation, during rotation of the conveyance motor, and supplies the excitation current of a second current value having a smaller absolute value than the first current value to the branch motor in a second time zone including a time zone after the first time zone being a stable period in which the rotation speed of the conveyance motor is stabilized. |
