PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether an abnormality occurrence place is an electronic control device or a communication line.SOLUTION: A vehicle communication system 1 comprises an engine ECU 2 and peripheral ECUs 3, 4, 5 that are connected with each other via a communication line 6 for data communication. The peripheral ECUs 3, 4, 5 each comprise a microcomputer 22 and a CAN transceiver 21 equipped with a CAN controller. The microcomputer 22 has a function to communicate communication frames with the engine ECU 2, and a function to transmit normal reception confirmation information indicating normal reception to the communication line 6 on normally receiving a communication frame from the engine ECU 2. In addition, when the CAN controller of the CAN transceiver 21 normally receives a communication frame from the engine ECU 2, it transmits normal reception confirmation information indicating the normal reception to the communication line 6. |
