One exemplary system disclosed in the present specification comprises: a display configured for receiving a display signal and outputting an image; and an image capture device configured for capturing an area image and transmitting an image signal. In addition, the exemplary system comprises a processor in communication with the image capture device and the display. The processor configured for receiving the image signal, determining a virtual object based in part on the image signal, determining the display signal based in part on the image signal, wherein the display signal includes data associated with the virtual object, determining haptic effects based on, at least in part, the virtual object, and transmitting a haptic signal associated with the haptic effects. The exemplary system additionally comprises a haptic output device configured for receiving the haptic signal and outputting the haptic effects. |
