The present invention relates to a method for providing product information, which includes the steps of: (a) having a user terminal receive a signal of a product, and check position information; (b) having the user terminal transmit the received signal and the position information to a main server; (c) having the main server check whether a genuine product signal exists in the transmitted signal, and whether sale position information corresponding to the transmitted position information exists; and (d) having the main server transmit the product information of the product to a user terminal, in the case that the corresponding genuine product signal and the corresponding sale position information exist. Through the present invention, the method can provide product information to a user and provides purchasing information of the user to a supplier, and can prevent counterfeiting and illegal distribution of a product.
