PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve more improvement of convenience in a recording device provided with a cover opening and closing a sheet discharge port.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: an ink jet recording head serving as a recording section performing recording on a sheet being one example of a medium; a sheet discharge port serving as a discharge section discharging the sheet; a sheet receiving tray 9 serving as a cover opening and closing the sheet discharge port; and an open/close sensor 13 serving as detection means switching a detection state in an attitude being an intermediate attitude while the sheet receiving tray 9 is being moved from a fully-close attitude toward a fully-open attitude and being the attitude where the sheet can be discharged from the sheet discharge port. A control section 6 executes discharge operation of the sheet even in a state of the sheet receiving tray 9 not being the fully-open attitude. |
