PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool with a work-affection detection sensor of a non-contact type which can detect a work-affected layer with a high accuracy.SOLUTION: A machine tool includes: a body part 21; contact pieces 23a, 23b which contact a surface of a work-piece W; arm parts 22a, 22b which are supported on the body part 21, onto which the contact pieces 23a, 23b are fixed, and which displaces with respect to the body part 21 according to a dimension of the work-piece W; dimension measurement sensors 24a, 24b which output a signal according to a dimension of the work-piece W on the basis of displacement of the arm parts 22a, 22b with respect to the body part 21; and a work-affection detection sensor 25 of a non-contact type which is provided on the arm part 22a and which outputs a signal according to a work-affected state of the work-piece W. |
