PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required from reception of a print instruction to discharging of a printed recording medium.SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism 70 includes: a shaft member 72 that is rotated by driving power from a driving motor; a first output gear; a second output gear; a switching gear 71 movable between a first position at which the switching gear meshes with the first output gear and a second position at which the switching gear meshes with the second output gear; an input gear 73 that is supported by the shaft member 72 so as to be rotatable with the shaft member 72 and meshes with the switching gear 71; a switching-gear moving mechanism 78 that moves the switching gear from the first position to the second position; and a coil spring 75 that urges the switching gear from the second position toward the first position. The input gear 73 and the shaft member 72 are configured such that the input gear 73 has play relative to the shaft member 72 in a rotation direction of the shaft member 72. |
