PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive electrically-driven water pump which can increase the reliability of an engine by continuing to supply a slight amount of water to the engine when the engine temporarily stops due to an engine stop function.SOLUTION: A control board 7 rotates a sensorless DC motor 6 in an X direction when an engine E starts operation, whereas the control board 7 sets the duty ratio to a predetermined value D and rotates the sensorless DC motor 6 in an opposite X direction when the engine E temporarily stops due to an engine stop function E1.
