PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film which comprises a base material having a high surface roughness Ra with an alignment film and retardation layer laminated on a surface thereof, and offers good alignability.SOLUTION: A retardation film 1 of the present invention comprises a base material 11, and alignment film 12, and a retardation layer 13 laminated in the described order, where a surface of the base material 11 on which the alignment film 12 is formed has a surface roughness Ra of no less than 50 nm, and the alignment film 12 is made of an alignment film-forming composition containing a photodimerization material and photosensitizer. |
