MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION, MOBILE TERMINAL, AND MEASUREMENT RESULTS TRANSMISSION METHOD

A mobile communication system (S) is provided with a first base station (1), a second base station (2) that differs from the first base station (1), and a mobile terminal (3) that can communicate with the first base station (1) and the second base station (2). The first base station (1) comprises a base station transmission unit for transmitting to the mobile terminal (3) instruction information that contains instructions for measuring the electrical power strength of signals received from the second base station (2) and conditions for transmitting results from the measurement of electrical power strength to the first base station (1) on the basis of the instructions. The mobile terminal (3) comprises: a measurement unit for measuring, on the basis of the instruction information, a first electrical power strength that is the electrical power strength of signals received on a prescribed channel in use for communication with the second base station (2) and a second electrical power strength that is the electrical power strength of signals received on another channel; and a terminal transmission unit for transmitting the measurement results to the first base station (1) if the first electrical power strength and the second electrical power strength measured by the measurement unit fulfill the conditions contained in the instruction information.
