Disclosed are a method for recognizing a character in a live-action image and a corresponding device. The method comprises: acquiring a live-action image and a depth image, each pixel in the depth image representing the distance from a live-action point corresponding to each pixel in the live-action image to a camera; according to the depth image, detecting a live-action plane in the live-action image; correcting the detected plane, so that it is easy to recognize a character in the plane; and recognizing the character in the corrected plane. By means of the disclosed method and device, the accuracy of recognizing a character in a live-action image can be improved. |
