PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a distance of a vehicle to travel in retreat when an alkaline secondary battery is over-discharged.SOLUTION: After discriminating that an alkaline secondary battery (11) is over-discharged, a battery stack (10) is discharged while causing an electrolyte contained in the over-discharged alkaline second battery to dissolve so as to cause a vehicle to travel using power of a motor (MG2). Even when the alkaline secondary battery is over-discharged the electrolyte remains inside the battery. Causing the electrolyte to dissolve makes it possible to discharge the battery, enabling the vehicle to travel. This allows extension of the distance of the vehicle to travel in retreat. |
