PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can reduce a difference in temperature in a heating roller, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device 300 includes a heating roller 303 that is heated across the shaft direction by a halogen heater, a fixing roller 302, a pressure roller 305, and an endless fixing belt 304 that is stretched by the heating roller 303 and fixing roller 302, and fixes a toner image onto a sheet by applying heat and pressure to the sheet with the fixing roller 302 and pressure roller 305 with the fixing belt 304 therebetween. End temperature sensors S3 and S4 detect the temperature of both ends of the heating roller 303. A steering drive motor M2 drives to oscillate the heating roller 303. A CPU performs control to drive the steering drive motor M2 to oscillate the heating roller 303 on the basis of a result of the detection by the end temperature sensors S3 and S4. |
