PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film in which cissing on a retardation layer can be effectively suppressed when the retardation layer (liquid crystal layer) is formed from a liquid crystal composition comprising a polymerizable liquid crystal compound and a levelling agent.SOLUTION: A retardation film 1 of the present invention includes a substrate 11, an alignment layer 12, and a retardation layer 13 comprising a cured product of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition, stacked in this order. The polymerizable liquid crystal composition constituting the retardation layer 13 contains a fluorine-based levelling agent. In the retardation layer 13, the fluorine-based levelling agent at least in an amount corresponding to a proportion of 0.1 atomic% of fluorine permeates from the surface of the retardation layer 13 to a thickness of 5 nm or more in a vertical direction toward the alignment layer 12 side. |
