PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly adjust display of a left-eye video image and a right-eye video image in accordance with a viewing environment including a viewing distance.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal projector 100A includes: deviation amount information acquisition means 103 for acquiring information of a first deviation amount between corresponding points of the left-eye video image and the right-eye video image on an optical modulation element included in an input video signal; and deviation amount adjustment means 102 by which, in the case where a second deviation amount on a projection plane calculated on the basis of information about a condition for viewing the input video signal, information of the viewing distance and information of a projection size is smaller than a preset value, the first deviation amount is adjusted in such a manner that a deviation amount on the projection plane becomes the second deviation amount, and in the case where the second deviation amount is equal to or greater than the preset value, the first deviation amount is adjusted in such a manner that the deviation amount on the projection plane becomes a value equal to or smaller than the preset value. |
