PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for cleaning a mold used for removing stain in a mold inner surface generated during a molding process of an encapsulated molded article and a mold cleaning method using the same, and a resin composition for cleaning a mold excellent in cleaning performance and storage stability and a mold cleaning method using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a resin composition for cleaning a mold containing a compound selected from a group consisting of a synthetic rubber, an alkali metal salt and alkali metal hydroxide, an urea derivative, monovalent alcohol having 14 to 30 carbon atoms and a vulcanizer.
