In the present invention, a fuel gas filling system detects the pressure of a fuel gas supplied from a filling device and/or the temperature of a fuel gas inside a fuel tank of a vehicle, and determines whether a gas state change where the pressure or temperature of the fuel gas changes rapidly is occurring. The fuel gas filling system executes a first filling control for filling the vehicle with the fuel gas on the basis of the fuel gas pressure and/or fuel gas temperature, or a second filling control appropriate for a gas state change. This system normally executes the first filling control. If a gas state change determining means determines that the gas state change is occurring, then the second filling control for filling with the fuel gas is executed without the use of the fuel gas pressure detected by a fuel gas state detecting means or the second filling control for filling with the fuel gas is executed without the use of the fuel gas temperature detected by the fuel gas state detecting means. |
