The present invention relates to a method for reducing traffic in a network of various structures and, particularly, to a method for reducing traffic in an Ethernet network using a High-availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR) standard, the method comprising the steps of: broadcast-transmitting, by each terminal node, a declaration frame and generating, by each first node, a neighboring table including information on a terminal node within a network; establishing dual virtual paths for each first and second terminal node pair; and transmitting a data frame from a source terminal node to a destination terminal node via one path of the dual virtual paths. The present invention reduces unnecessary duplicate unicast traffic within a network, thereby being capable of improving the performance of the network. |
