The present invention relates to a contact device (15) of a starter contactor (1) comprising: - a contact rod (17) made of an electrically insulating material, - a retaining collar (17a) integral in translation with the contact rod (17), - a squashing spring (25) mounted around the contact rod (17), - a contact strip (19) made of an electrically conducting material comprising a hole (19a) in which is mounted the contact rod (17), the contact strip (19) being mounted between the squashing spring (25) and the retaining collar (17a), the contact strip (19) being retained bearing against the retaining collar (17a) by a force exerted by the squashing spring (25) in the direction of the retaining collar (17a), said retaining collar (17a) covering substantially the width of the contact strip (19) and the squashing spring (25) having a diameter greater than the diameter of hole (19a) in the contact strip (19). |
