The present invention relates to a fail safety coolant control valve, which is a device for distributing a coolant flowing into a valve housing to properly control the temperature of the coolant of each port unit, capable of stably performing a fail safety function of a valve by opening a predetermined part of any one outflow port when an actuator malfunctions or when abnormally high temperature is generated. The fail safety coolant control valve includes: the valve housing including at least two ports on the outer surface and an inner space connected with the port; a valve member opening and closing the port by being installed in the inner space of the valve housing to be able to rotate; the actuator rotating the valve member; and an opening unit opening at least a port of the valve housing by sensing the temperature of the coolant in the valve housing when the actuator malfunctions or when the abnormally high temperature is generated and by rotating the valve member.
