PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for making it possible to further suppress deterioration of a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system for outputting generated power according to a request of an external load comprises: a fuel cell including at least one power generation body; a voltage detection unit for detecting a voltage in the power generation body; and a control unit for controlling output of the fuel cell. The control unit executes, regardless of a request of the external load, current limitation processing of decreasing output current of the fuel cell to a predetermined current value, when the voltage detection unit detects a voltage lower than a voltage corresponding to the request of the external load and equal to or lower than a predetermined voltage value in at least one power generation body; and, after finishing the current limitation processing, sets the upper limit value of the output current of the fuel cell to a value lower than an output current value of the fuel cell at the time of detecting negative voltage, and increases the output current of the fuel cell while keeping the output current equal to or lower than the upper limit value of the output current. |
