PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter 1 for an internal combustion engine including an energy input circuit 9, capable of suppressing a control failure that may occur due to the superimposition of electromagnetic noise generated in a primary line on a secondary line.SOLUTION: An igniter 1 comprises assemblies 31 each including an ignition coil 3, a main ignition circuit 8, a feedback circuit 10, and input energy control means 16 as many as cylinders of an engine. With this configuration, a primary line for supplying a primary current to a primary coil of the ignition coil 3 and a secondary line for feeding back a secondary current to the energy input circuit 9 can be included in each assembly 31. Owing to this, it is possible to suppress the emission of electromagnetic noise by the primary line and the superimposition of the electromagnetic noise on the secondary line. As a result, it is possible to suppress a control failure that occurs due to the superimposition of the electromagnetic noise generated in the primary line on the secondary line in the igniter 1 including energy input circuit 9. |
