PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with touch panel in which sensing accuracy or reliability of touch input is improved, and a driving method of the display device.SOLUTION: A capacitance touch panel is attached on a display surface of a liquid-crystal display panel. The liquid-crystal display panel comprises a timing generation part for determining the timing of input of a video signal Vsig. A timing signal tm generated by the timing generation part is sent through a circuit and connector wiring to a controller of the touch panel. On the basis of the timing signal tm, the controller of the touch panel starts inputting of a sensing pulse signal TPsens for sensing in the touch panel while avoiding pulse-rising and -falling periods of the video signal Vsig, i.e., while avoiding a generation period of an electromagnetic noise LCnoise from the liquid-crystal display panel. Sensing is performed not only in a blanking period tblank, but also in a video signal input period tsig, as appropriate. |
