PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which prevents components, such as a bolt and a nut, used for fastening the steering device to a vehicle body from interfering with column attachment components during a secondary collision.SOLUTION: A capsule 45 includes: an upper plate 60; and a lower plate 70 formed by molding a metal flat plate. The lower plate 70 includes: a seat surface part 73a which makes surface contact with the upper plate 60 and forms a seat surface of a nut 43; flange parts 76, 77 which are separated from the upper plate 60 and sandwich an attachment part 32 with the upper plate 60; and a cylindrical part 71 which protrudes from the seat surface part 73a to the upper plate 60 side and forms a through hole 72 through which a bolt 42 passes. |
