384,192. Weighting - apparatus for drawing-mechanism of textile machines. CASABLANCAS, F., 166, Mina, Sabadell, Barcelona, Spain. May 24, 1932, No. 14714. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1931. Addition to 333,717, [Class 120 (ii), Spinning, twisting, &c.]. [Class 120 (ii).] In the drawing-mechanism described in the parent Specification, wherein a pressure saddle rests upon two back rollers and may be combined with a supplementary saddle to rest upon a pair or pairs of front rollers, pressure is transmitted to the saddle by means of a spring 42, Fig. 1, or a lever 47, Fig. 4, connected to a cross shaft 44 which extends through the entire machine below the drawing-mechanism and is arranged at such distance from the roller beam that the surface of the beam is not encumbered, whereby cleaning is facilitated and the removal of the clearing brushes may be readily effected as they are not enclosed between the threads and pressure rods as in ordinary methods of weighting. In Fig. 1 a saddle 11 is shown connected to a saddle 10 by a rod 13 so that all three pairs of rollers are simultaneously weighted, and in Fig. 4 a saddle 11 is shown for weighting the back two pairs of rollers, the front rollers being independently weighted.
|
