1. A machine-implemented method to expedite and make secure payment data entry and payment authentication and authorization for in-store purchases using any payment system through a USA (universal secure authentication) service comprising:
a USA app, or widget or browser extension or installed service, on a mobile or fixed communication device used by a purchaser; a USA server system providing said USA service; a POS (point-of-sale) system of a merchant;wherein the USA app, or widget or browser extension or installed service, generating a barcode for each purchase based on a payment card selected by a said purchaser; a POS operator scanning the barcode; the POS system associating the barcode with said payment card of the purchaser; the USA server system executing an optional confirmation before a payment system operator is contacted for payment authorization, further comprising:
the USA server system sending a confirmation message to the purchaser through a USA app, or widget or browser extension or installed service, on a mobile or fixed communication device; the purchaser confirming the request by replying to the USA server system.
