PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device and a medical image diagnostic device which can easily and correctly measure the needle length of a puncture needle.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic device comprises: an ultrasonic probe which transmits/receives an ultrasonic wave to/from a subject; a positional information acquisition part which includes a reference position member provided in the ultrasonic probe and a sensor attached to a spot having a predetermined relative position with respect to a puncture needle, and acquires positional information of the reference position member and the sensor; a needle length information acquisition part which acquires information on the needle length of the puncture needle from the positional information of the reference position member and the sensor and the relative position when the tip of the puncture needle is brought into contact with the reference position member; and a display part which displays information for supporting puncture with the puncture needle on the basis of the information on the needle length.
