PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a user to easily solve jamming of recording materials inside a fixing device, prevents the generation of a problem of water droplets when the user solves jamming of recording materials inside the fixing device, and stabilizes conveyability in printing on the second surface in a double-sided image formation mode.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus including a fixing device 18 that includes a fixing part 34 that heats, while conveying, a recording material S with a nip part N to fix an unfixed image, a frame body 31 that accommodates the fixing part, and an opening/closing member 45 that can be opened/closed on the downstream side in the recording material conveyance direction with respect to the nip part N of the frame body, the image forming apparatus further including a duct 48 that is provided in the opening/closing member 45 to communicate a space area B on the downstream side in the recording material conveyance direction with respect to the nip part inside the frame body with the outside of the frame body, an opening part 51 that is provided in the frame body to communicate the space area B with the outside of the frame body 31, and at least one air blowing means 60 and 62 for causing air flow A in an air channel formed by the opening 51, space area B, and duct 48. |
