PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous matrix which is useful as a template for infiltration into cells in e.g. cell transplantation and consists of organism tolerable polymers.SOLUTION: A porous infiltration matrix is based on a polymer mixture quickly absorbable at different rates. The individual polymers have nominal absorption rates at least five times different from the nominal rate of two ingredients of the mixture occupying 10% or more of the mixture; the nominal absorption times of more slowly absorbable polymers are longer than 20 months; the nominal absorption times of more quickly absorbable polymers are longer than 2 months; and the adhesion rate of infiltrated cells is higher than 80%. The mixture ingredients are preferably poly((α-hydroxy)carboxylic acids), more preferably PLA and PLGA. |
