PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching apparatus, an image formation apparatus, and a punching method which can form holes at proper positions of a sheet conveyed by a punching apparatus while improving production efficiency of a print when forming a plurality of holes on one sheet along a sheet conveying direction.SOLUTION: A punching position setting unit calculates &Dgr;y2 by using a change amount &Dgr;y1 of a first edge position T1 and a second edge position T2 (S17).
