PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate biosensor having a uniform reagent layer.SOLUTION: A biosensor includes: an insulation substrate; an electrode layer including an action electrode 21 and a counter electrode 22 provided on one surface of the insulation substrate; a reagent layer 3 formed on a surface of the side opposite to the insulation substrate of the electrode layer and including oxygen reacting with the substrate and a mediator; and a notch part 42a for forming a supply path by which a sample liquid is directed to the reagent layer 3. The biosensor further includes: a spacer 42 arranged on the electrode layer so that the reagent layer 3 is positioned inside the notch part; and a cover 5 provided on the surface on the side opposite to the insulation substrate of the spacer 42. In the surface of the side opposite to the insulation substrate 1 of the electrode layer, at least a part of the periphery of a reagent layer formation area 2a in which the reagent layer 3 is formed includes a low hydrophilic area lower in hydrophilic nature than the reagent layer area 2a. |
