OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC FILM, LAMINATE, POLARIZER AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an optically anisotropic film which has highly homogeneous orientation even when two or more lyotropic liquid crystalline compounds are used; and a laminate, a polarizer and an image display device that use the film.SOLUTION: An optically anisotropic film contains a lyotropic liquid crystalline composition. The lyotropic liquid crystalline composition includes a rod-like lyotropic polymer liquid crystalline compound and a plate-like lyotropic liquid crystalline compound having two or more aromatic melamine groups in each molecule. Also provided are a laminate, a polarizer and an image display device that use the film.
