PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital printer including a work area for an operator to perform servicing such as maintenance, free from the need of complicated work when an operator performs servicing such as maintenance in the work area.SOLUTION: A digital printer 1 for performing digital printing on a sheet includes: a work area 42 for maintaining the digital printer 1; detecting means for detecting the presence of an operator or an object in the work area 42; doors 43 separating the inside of the work area 42 from the outside; door opening/closing detection means for detecting an opening/closing state of the doors 43; and a control part for controlling the digital printer 1, on the basis of the detection results of the detection means and the door opening/closing detection means. |
