The present invention provides a battery pack comprising: a battery module assembly comprising at least two battery modules which are arranged to be adjacent to each other, and an outward protrusion part which is formed on the lower part of one side or both sides of the battery module, wherein each battery module comprises battery cells which are uprightly arranged such that electrode terminals face upwardly; a base plate on the top of which the battery module assembly is mounted; and a holddown bracket which is configured such that one side portion covers the outward protrusion part of the battery module and the other side portion is coupled to the base plate in order to secure the respective battery modules of the battery module assembly to the base plate in place.
