PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with input sensor, capable of reducing power consumption and reducing the number of charging a battery, and a control method of the display device.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the display device has a display panel, a drive electrode, a detection electrode, and a sensor outputting a detection signal from the detection electrode. The display device comprises: an image processing part outputting an image signal to be written to the display panel; a panel control part outputting a panel drive signal; a sensor driver outputting a sensor drive signal; and an internal power source circuit outputting a power source voltage. The display device further comprises a power saving control part that sets, within one frame period, a first period where the detection signal is collected from the detection electrode and a second period including zero periods excluding the first period, and that controls in the first period at least the power source voltages of the image processing part and the panel control part and a power source voltage supplied from the internal power source circuit to the display panel to be OFF or to be a low voltage. |
