PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preform and a plastic bottle which improve blow moldability in manufacturing a plastic bottle by blow molding of a preform and a production method of the bottle.SOLUTION: A preform 10 includes a mouth part 11 having a support ring 12 and a trunk part 20 connected to the mouth part 11, and the trunk part 20 has a neck part 21 located on the side of the support ring 12, a trunk middle part 22 connected to the neck part 21 and a bottom part 23 connected to the trunk middle part 22. With the trunk part under-the-neck distance, or the distance of the trunk part 20 from immediately under the support ring 12 relative to the total length, in terms of the ratio, expressed as X and the cross sectional area ratio of the trunk part at the position with the trunk part under-the-neck distance being X expressed as Y, the relation of Y≥-0.0088X+0.7276X-22.656X+316.6X-1586.9 holds in the range of 16%≤X≤22%. |
