PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of printing a printing part in a stable state on a long film transferred at an unfixed speed.SOLUTION: A thermal printer includes a print head 21 and a printing receiving roller 4, and arranged so as not to change a length of a long film F from an upstream movement roller 63 to a downstream movement roller 64 when the pair of movement rollers 63 and 64 move. In the case of printing on the long film F, the printing receiving roller 4 is rotatably driven by a rotation driving force from a motor, and the long film F wound around the printing receiving roller 4 is transferred from the upstream side to the downstream side by rotatably driving the motor and switching a clutch to a connection state, and thereby, the pair of movement rollers 63 and 64 are moved in a direction where a length of the long film F from the printing receiving roller 4 to the upstream movement roller 63 becomes short and a direction where a length of the long film F from the printing receiving roller 4 to the downstream movement roller 64 becomes long. |
