PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity of a color filter by simplifying a process of forming the color filter.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent device includes: an element substrate 10; a first organic electroluminescent element 30B and a second organic electroluminescent element 30G provided in the element substrate 10; a sealing layer 34 laminated on the first organic electroluminescent element 30B and the second organic electroluminescent element 30G; and a colored layer 36B laminated on the sealing layer 34. The colored layer 36B is provided so as to overlap the first organic electroluminescent element 30B in plan view and not to overlap the second organic electroluminescent element 30G in plan view.
