Disclosed are a generation method and device for a visual special effect image or video pair. The method mainly comprises: at least modifying the brightness of at least one region of an image or video of at least one viewpoint, so that the polarity of a brightness contrast of the region in the viewpoint to perimeter regions is opposite to the polarity of a brightness contrast of a corresponding region in the other viewpoint to the perimeter, and the absolute value of the difference between the brightness contrast of the region in the viewpoint to the perimeter regions and the contrast of a brightness corresponding region in the other viewpoint to the perimeter is greater than a critical value; and obtaining a new image or video pair. When the obtained image or video is viewed using both eyes, a changing lustre sensation appears in a processing region. The present invention can add a special visual effect for content viewed in a binocular display mode. |
