<p>A clean-out tool (1) for cleaning out a well bore (WB), said clean-out tool (1) comprising: - a helical displacing member (3) comprising a central shaft (4) and a helical blade flight (5) with a longitudinal axis (8); - a tubular barrel (2) surrounding said helical displacing member (3); - a drive mechanism (7); and - said tubular barrel (2) comprising a hollow bit (12) at a free end of the tubular barrel (2), and wherein said hollow bit (12) is provided with scoop openings (13), characterized in that said displacing member (3) is secured against rotation about said longitudinal axis (8), in that said tubular barrel (2) is rotatably journalled in a first bearing (9) and a second bearing (10) spaced from the first bearing (9), said second bearing (10) being provided within the hollow bit (12), and in that said drive mechanism (7) is arranged for rotatably driving said tubular barrel (2).</p> |
