PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device which is thin and light-weight, and which includes a heat radiation member having high heat radiation efficiency.SOLUTION: A light irradiation device for radiating line-like light includes: a substrate; a plurality of LED light sources arranged side by side at every predetermined interval on a surface of the substrate; a heat radiation member comprising a tabular base plate which extends in a predetermined direction from a rear surface of the substrate and which diffuses heat generated in the LED light sources, and a heat sink which rises on one surface side of the base plate and which has a plurality of fins extended in a predetermined direction; a housing for accommodating the heat radiation member, and for forming a wind tunnel surrounding the plurality of fins; and a cooling fan for guiding the air from the outside to the wind tunnel and for generating an air flow in a predetermined direction inside the wind tunnel. At least one of the one side surface and the other side surface of the base plate is inclined with respect to a predetermined direction, and a cross sectional area of a cross section perpendicular to a predetermined direction of the base plate decreases as being separated along a predetermined direction from the substrate. |
